Footage: 1984 Campaign between Chinese and Vietnam
From a purely visual perspective something about the quality just add so much more to this videos appeal. An obscure and relatively unknown war, footage on degraded and old tape…the conflict and consequence is right there as you watch, the visual display relates completely the unknown and makes the imagery so much more profound.

Border skirmishes continued throughout the 1980s, including a significant skirmish in April 1984. Armed conflict only ended in 1989 after the Vietnamese agreed to fully withdraw from Cambodia.
