Reddit–The Pedocalypse–Stopping these assholes once and for all.

More info here: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3466025&userid=0&perpage=40&pagenumber=1

reddit [http://www.reddit.com/] is a social website that allows its users to share links to content on the internet and post comments about the links. This enables not only the sharing of content (photographs, videos, websites, and so on) but also the discussion of said content.

reddit is massively popular [http://blog.reddit.com/2012/01/2-billion-beyond.html], especially with young people [http://en.reddit.com/r/misc/comment..._survey_in_pie/].

reddit is split into subcommunities known as "subreddits", meaning that while reddit exists as a website, it consists as the sum of its subcommunities that people can subscribe to and participate in by means of sharing and commenting as aforementioned.

Unfortunately, the reddit community as a whole also harbors pedophiles and distributors of child pornography, including a man who goes by the name Tessorro [http://www.reddit.com/user/tessorro] and runs a subreddit called "preteen_girls"[http://www.reddit.com/r/preteen_gir...ase_can/c3pxuv8]
The main purveyor of child porn on reddit is Violentacrez, who was the former leader of the "jailbait" subreddit, before Anderson Cooper’s report [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuMd...feature=related] got it shut down: [http://www.reddit.com/user/violentacrez]

A list of Jailbait (underage porn) forums which have sprung up to replace it that are currently on reddit:
preteen_girls
jailbaitarchives
truejailbait
gaolbait
GirlsinSchoolUniforms
LegalTeens
niggerjailbait
Thenewjailbait
RealGirls
trapbait
/r/jailbait is shut down now, but the traffic statistics [http://i.imgur.com/jvNpg.png] posted by Violentacrez [http://www.reddit.com/r/TheoryOfRed..._for_rjailbait/] from its heydays are interesting. The dip in mid August is when admins temporarily closed the subreddit, and the spike on September 30th is when Anderson Cooper talked about it. The numbers after the temporary shut down are abnormally low, as would be expected. But prior to that, they were getting about 30,000 unique visitors each day.

When r/jailbait was open, it had a message on the sidebar asking young girls to submit pics to their jailbait gone wild subreddit, which still exists, and even wants these ‘jailbait’ girls to get verified before submitting photos. You’re also told to "Be respectful. Don’t insult the ones brave enough to submit photos / videos".

The owners of reddit know there is active trading of child porn on their forums, and refuse to do anything about it. Further, Reddit’s cofounder simply dismisses the issue and blames the exploited children whose pictures are being traded: [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXZYvrue1BE]

The inaction of reddit’s administrators has been a frequent topic, part of that being Violentacrez’s shockingly close relationship with them.

Violentacrez’s Twitter account [https://twitter.com/!/violentacrez] seems like a good example of this.

Krispykrackers [http://twitter.com/krispykrackers] (head of advertising and the community helpline at reddit)

Hueypriest https://twitter.com/!/hueypriest] (reddit’s general manager) and

Chromakode [https://twitter.com/!/chromakode] (developer) all follow violentacrez.

So does Jedberg [https://twitter.com/!/jedberg] (former administrator),

KeyserSosa [https://twitter.com/!/KeyserSosa] (former lead developer) and

MikeSchiraldi [https://twitter.com/!/MikeSchiraldiraldi] (another former developer type).

If you view their past tweets, you’ll see that Violentacrez has regularly been in direct, public contact with them.
In 2008, r/jailbait received the most votes in reddit’s "Best Community" contest [http://www.reddit.com/r/bestof/comm...comment_here_w/], with SuicideWatch taking a distant second, receiving about half as many votes.

Another interesting fact is that Violentacrez has the third highest amount of karma [http://www.karmawhores.net/violentacrez] on all of reddit for submitted links. Reddit can’t get enough of the guy.

Are you sick to your stomach yet? The list of child pornography subreddits continues:

(all subreddits listed below are not safe for viewing)

"Preteen Girls"
"Male Jailbait"
"Jailbait Junkies"
"Asian Jailbait"
"Young Porn"

Other awful Reddit things:
A Pedophile’s Confession
A subreddit called "Raping Women"
"Beating Women"
A subreddit called "Lolicon" (cartoon drawings of naked children)
A subreddit called "Pics of Dead Kids"

To all that is wrong with the “Occupy” movement–A Cultural Occupy

For all that is wrong with the "hippy" generation (a group of people who ultimately fed the machine to its current girth) – there was something right…and its only a few words.

"Turn on, tune in, drop out"

Or, worded better for now: Learn and reject.

I think we need to do that again.

We live in a culture that is supportive of the ideals we reject. We buy from the hand that slaps us in the end, and we dont want to let go of the money that ultimately destroys us.

We cant expect to occupy anywhere if we cant occupy ourselves with things other than the idols of consumerism and capitalism.

We need a cultural occupation , and to just drop all the stuff that feeds the beast.

Im unsure if this makes much sense. I guess Im saying that once there was a great disconnect, and it failed…but also kind of worked, and we shouldnt discount even minor successes. And we should again try and disconnect more with the ties that currently bind us to this loose cannon of a society we live in.

You cant occupy a person thats already ocupied (by the wrong things). And thats us, thats others, thats the problem. We are still occupied as individuals, by the things we are trying to fight.

And we are acting blind to them possessing us every day. And yet we expect to advance….

We need to evict some awful shit.

A possible revolution in Spain has begun, and the world wide press are doing everything they can to downplay it…

…And when it is mentioned its connected to social media, I’m getting sick of that.

Sure, they use services like Twitter or FB, most people have phones,  people have FB and twitter on their phones…. the internet is a very fucking common service!

I just feel it disenfranchises the real point of the protests, and cheapens it.

(Before I go on; Yes , I do know there is a middle ground between the two sides I discuss below, but the majority of people are not part of that understanding, educated and/or willing to grasp the situation middle ground)

It also feels like social media services are the new "students" or "intellectuals" , something people who are not very connected to the political situation can easily wave as the reason they don’t "get it"; they don’t get Twitter/”Social media”, they don’t use it or understand it…so they aren’t even going to bother trying to understand the situation as it will be over their head….Its for  and about the youths, the kids, its shallow…whatever…

The other side is that exactly those things, that cause problems for many people, appeal to the younger and supposedly more connected people…but that is a shallow connection.

Its a way for the media to report on something important – via popular culture, rather than important facts – but also to keep the story from not going on too long, and downplay interest in it when it gets all too cerebral or political (and how could a revolution not?).

Younger people can “relate” somehow without having to go deeper, or actually understand the root causes. They can “friend” the protest site, and do their part that way some how?

Consider Egypt a fine example of the easy sale of a trend devoid of any depth or understanding. Just a empty connection based on this “social media” – something the middle class, safe and ignorant in nowhere suburbia, can understand.

See how a lack of understanding put people off Egypt, like what eventuated wasn’t able to be considered going in….Well, it was, unless you knew nothing at all except  “Facebbook Started it” (!!??)

Lets see how our disconnected attentions and minds fare this time, and the next time…

The Weather Underground

In October 1969 hundreds of young people, clad in football helmets and wielding lead pipes, marched through an upscale Chicago shopping district, pummeling parked cars and smashing shop windows in their path.

This was the first demonstration of the Weather Underground’s "Days of Rage." Outraged by the Vietnam War and racism in America, the organization waged a low-level war against the U.S. government through much of the 1970s, bombing the Capitol building, breaking Timothy Leary out of prison, and evading one of the largest FBI manhunts in history.

Wikileaks reveals US GMO conspiracy.

The worst part about this is that by using very similar techniques, we can create crops that have more yield and survivability, but companies like Monsanto completely taint the entire idea of genetically modified food. This causes the population to lash against it, even though modified foods can be very beneficial.

A conspiracy with Monsanto to force the global sale and use of genetically-modified foods.

Mission Paris recommends that that the USG reinforce
our negotiating position with the EU on agricultural biotechnology by
publishing a retaliation list when the extend "Reasonable Time
Period" expires.
Moving to retaliation will make clear that the current path has real costs to
EU interests and could help strengthen European pro-biotech voices.
In the meantime, however, the draft biotech law submitted to the National Assembly and
the Senate for urgent consideration, could make any biotech planting impossible in practical terms.
The law would make farmers and seed companies legally liable for pollen drift
Country team Paris recommends that we calibrate a target
retaliation list that causes some pain across the EU since this is a
collective responsibility, but that also focuses in part on the
worst culprits.

Petition against coal mining in Margaret River! HELP!

http://www.margaretriversos.com/

www.nocoalitionmargaretriver.com

Margaret River, Western Australia is one of the most beautiful places on earth. World renowned for her magnificent coastline, surf and premium wines, Margaret River is one of Australia’s premier tourist destinations.

Incredibly, a mining company has applied to mine for coal (for export to India) on a site just 15 kms from the centre of town. Margaret River therefore is now in the fight of her life to stop large-scale coal mining from potentially destroying her fragile eco-system and pristine water resources forever.

Time is of the essence! We need the support and voice of as many West Australians as possible to stop a disastrous precedent being set. The Margaret River region is rich in coal and many more mines will follow once one is permitted. It will mean the end of the region, as we know it.

John Pilger article on US Fascism at Truth-Out.org

Behind the Arab Revolt Is a Word We Dare Not Speak

Read the article here: http://www.truth-out.org/behind-arab-revolt-a-word-we-dare-not-speak68036

Fascism is a difficult word, because it comes with an iconography that touches the Nazi nerve and is abused as propaganda against America’s official enemies and to promote the West’s foreign adventures with a moral vocabulary written in the struggle against Hitler. And yet, fascism and imperialism are twins.

…The US has destroyed or subverted more than 50 governments, many of them democracies, and used mass murderers like Suharto, Mobutu and Pinochet to dominate by proxy. In the Middle East, every dictatorship and pseudo-monarchy has been sustained by America. In "Operation Cyclone," the CIA and MI6 secretly fostered and bankrolled Islamic extremism.

How did such extremism take hold in the liberal West? "It is necessary to destroy hope, idealism, solidarity, and concern for the poor and oppressed," observed Noam Chomsky a generation ago, and "to replace these dangerous feelings with self-centered egoism, a pervasive cynicism that holds that … the state capitalist order with its inherent inequities and oppression is the best that can be achieved. In fact, a great international propaganda campaign is underway to convince people – particularly young people – that this not only is what they should feel but that it’s what they do feel."

NPR’s All Things Considered interviews a man on the street near Tripoli during violent standoff.

A town roughly 25 miles west of Tripoli, Libya, was the site of a violent standoff Thursday morning. Thousands of anti-government protesters had gathered in the town square — in the shadow of a mosque. The army attacked, but was repulsed back to the edge of town by the protesters. Host Michele Norris speaks with a 58-year-old businessman who was in the town square.

“…This country has suffered a lot, 42 years. That’s enough. “

Shit really hits the fan about 2mins in.

You can hear the army attack a square full of protesters. Protesters are able to fight them off and even commandeer at least one tank.

I hope this guys is still ok.

Dead baby dolphins in Gulf of Mexico/Clean-up Ineffective/Effects will show for years

Deaths of baby dolphins worry scientists

Full article here : http://edition.cnn.com/2011/US/02/24/gulf.dolphins/index.html?hpt=C1

Baby bottlenose dolphins are washing up dead in record numbers on the shores of Alabama and Mississippi, alarming scientists and a federal agency charged with monitoring the health of the Gulf of Mexico.

Moby Solangi, the executive director of the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies (IMMS) in Gulfport, Mississippi, said Thursday he’s never seen such high death numbers.

"I’ve worked with marine mammals for 30 years, and this is the first time we’ve seen such a high number of calves," he said. "It’s alarming."

Dolphin Calves Dying in the Gulf

http://news.discovery.com/animals/dolphin-calves-dying-in-the-gulf-110223.html

Although the cause of the deaths remains unclear, the bodies of the deceased infant dolphins are in the region of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill that released an estimated 205.8 million gallons of crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico.

Many of the dead dolphins are barely 3 feet in length, indicating both mother and infant dolphins are in physical distress.

"For some reason, they’ve started aborting or they were dead before they were born," Moby Solangi, director of the IMMS in Gulfport, told Reuters. "The average is one or two a month."

Gulf spill’s (full) effects ‘may not be seen for a decade’

Studies using a submersible found a layer, as much as 10cm thick in places, of dead animals and oil, said Samantha Joye of the University of Georgia.

Knocking these animals out of the food chain will, in time, affect species relevant to fisheries.

She disputed an assessment by BP’s compensation fund that the Gulf of Mexico will recover by the end of 2012.

Huge Rally in Benghazi, Libya.- 23/2/2011– An amazing atmosphere in the crowd.

CNN’s Ben Wedeman gives a firsthand account from a rally in Benghazi, Libya.

Amazing!

90% of Libya In The Peoples Hands

Article here: http://www.juancole.com/2011/02/90-of-libya-in-rebel-hands.html

Most of the country stretching from the outskirts of Tripoli east toward Egypt is now in the hands of popular committees allied with local security forces that have defected from the dictator. Even to Tripoli’s west, the rebellion had spread to some small towns. Qaddafi is increasingly left only with a sullen and sanguinary Tripoli, about 1 million people, where the streets are ghostly and marauding security forces hotrod it through the streets, sometimes firing indiscriminately.

Gaddafi’s son joins Libyan protesters

http://presstv.com/detail/166900.html

According to the reports, Saif al-Arab, Gaddafi’s youngest son, who was sent by his father to cooperate with Libyan security forces in the massive crackdown on pro-democracy protesters joined forces with the demonstrators in the eastern city of Benghazi on Thursday.

Saif al-Arab, who is widely regarded as the most low-profile of Gaddafi’s sons has also hinted that his father would commit suicide or flee to Latin America in the face of rising public outcry over his tyrannical rule.
